Advertising Network

Use of an advertising network is useful for merchants who want to advertise on many websites, but don’t want to go into the trouble of dealing with each site separately. Similarly, the use of advertising networks has advantages for webmasters who have a relatively small amount of traffic. If their site is part of an advertising network, then they don’t have to sell advertising space on their site directly. Advertising networks allow them to get a share of advertising accounts they would otherwise be unable to get. For example, a large advertiser would not be interested in dealing with a large number of small traffic sites. Instead, they can simply deal with an advertising network that then places ads on smaller sites.

One of the largest and most successful advertising networks is Double Click. They mainly cater to corporate customers. There are other advertising networks that cater to smaller companies. Some advertising networks operate in the form of a link exchange. This means that you agree to show some banners on your site. In return, your banner will be shown on other webmaster’s sites and you will receive free traffic. These advertising networks usually give you one free banner impression for every two banners you display on your site. If you like, you can purchase additional impressions directly from the advertising network.
